Applications/nominations are invited from eligible individuals for the post of Joint Director, CIET, New Delhi, a constituent unit of NCERT.
Pay Scale: ₹1,44,200 - ₹2,18,200/- (Academic Level-14)
(Pre-revised Pay Band: ₹37,400 - ₹67,000/- (PB-4) + Academic Grade Pay of ₹10,000/-)
The Joint Director, CIET functions under the overall parameters of NCERT, undertaking duties related to Educational Technology and mass media, including research, curriculum development, and training.
To grow CIET as a national resource institution for school-level Educational Technology, the Joint Director will:
a. Oversee production and transmission of digital content for online learning, TV, and radio.
b. Lead training programs for CIET and State Institutes of Educational Technology (SIETs).
c. Evaluate Educational Technology programs across states.
The appointment will be made by deputation or short-term contract on a tenure basis.
Deputation Period:
Not exceeding 5 years, or up to the age of 65, or until further orders—whichever is earlier.
Short-Term Contract Period:
Not exceeding 5 years (extendable up to 7 years), or until the candidate attains 65 years of age, or until further orders—whichever is earlier.
Retirement Clause:
If appointed from an organization with a retirement age below 65, the candidate shall retire upon attaining the retirement age of their parent organization.
Maximum Age for Deputation:
Not exceeding 58 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Selection will be made by the Central Government based on recommendations from a Search-cum-Selection Committee.
A 4-year Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
AND one of the following:
Holding a Professor-level post in any academic body, or
Holding a Level-14 post in Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, or PSEs
(For private sector applicants): Minimum 15 years of relevant experience at a senior level.
A management degree or PG Diploma.
Experience in developing/managing educational content.
Information Technology, ICT, Educational Technology, Computer Science, AR/VR, Animation, Visual Effects, Gamification, e-Comics.
