ENGAGEMENT OF ASSISTANT ENGINEER (CIVIL) & JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) ON CONTRACT BASIS

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Regional Office, Hyderabad, Telangana invites applications from Retired Engineers for the following positions on a contract basis:

Details and Terms & Conditions

1. Post:

• (i) Assistant Engineer (Civil):
  No. of Posts: 01

• (ii) Junior Engineer (Electrical):
  No. of Posts: 01

2. Qualification:

• Assistant Engineer (Civil):
  Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.

• Junior Engineer (Electrical):
  Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.

3. Eligibility:

• Assistant Engineer (Civil):
  Retired from the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) or a superior post in Central/State Public Works Department or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings.

• Junior Engineer (Electrical):
  Retired from the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) or a superior post in Central/State Public Works Department or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings.

Preference will be given to retired Government Engineers with experience in building construction and maintenance.

4. Maximum Age:

• 64 years as on 07.07.2025 (last date for submission of application).

5. Remuneration:

• For retired employees from pensionable Government employment:
  Consolidated monthly remuneration as per extant Government norms.
  (Computed by deducting pension amount from last drawn salary.)

• For retired employees from non-pensionable Government/Semi-Government organizations (e.g., Autonomous bodies, PSUs):

  • Assistant Engineer: ₹45,000/- per month

  • Junior Engineer: ₹33,630/- per month

• Additional Benefits:
  Eligible for TA/DA for official tours as per norms applicable to regular Engineers.

10. Leave Eligibility:

• One day leave per month of completed service

• Government Holidays applicable

• No other paid leave admissible

11. Other Conditions:

• A. Selected candidates must sign an Agreement as per ESIC HQ Letter No. Pt.PS/SE-V/Staff Matter/2013-PMD dated 08.03.2018.

• B. Tenure: One year, extendable annually based on performance or until a regular incumbent is appointed.
  (No extension beyond age 65.)
